Ok, I’m guilty! I posted the first three weeks of our winter Scotland trip and then drifted away (the remaining three weeks will come, eventually). I thought the blog wasn’t being looked at and kind of lost hope, we’ve had a few customers mention the blog recently so I thought I’d best jump on.
We have been rather busy with work for the last couple of months, but we did manage to treat ourselves to a holiday! We don’t normally choose to spend our downtime in one place as we both get ‘itchy feet’, but for a one off we stayed on a campsite for six whole nights!

So why did we stay on a site? Well, we were celebrating three years of living full-time on the road. As we love to be by the water we chose to stay at Park Foot Holiday Park next to Ullswater in the Lake District so we could make the most of paddleboarding and walking.

Park Foot is in a great location for us, Pooley Bridge is just a short walk away, the lake is just there and there are some fabulous walks straight from the site. There is also a bus service which we didn’t use that runs on weekends.
The facilities block for the Lakeside pitches was just stunning, it is a fairly new addition to the site with showers that don’t require you to keep pressing a button, underfloor heating, a dog shower, and even a dishwasher!!! Living in a lorry, those things felt luxurious to us.

Anyway, we had a wonderful time, met some lovely people and dogs, paddle boarded, walked and relaxed to the max (as well as keeping up with the usual enquiries and admin tasks of being busy business).
I’ll catch up with you all again soon, in the meantime don’t forget you can keep up to date with our current work on the Facebook page and with our travels and day to day stuff on our Instagram.
